The F1 core provides up to 8 MIPs, up to 7KB program memory and up to 256 Bytes data memory. The internal RC oscillator can now run up to 32 MHz on selected parts. Further enhancements on specific devices include an I2C/SPI port, enhanced USART, ECCP, PWM and a range of Core Independent Peripherals including the CWG (Complementary Waveform Generator) and NCO (Numerically Controlled Oscillator). PIC12LFxxx range features eXtreme Low Power (XLP) and includes a 14-pin variant with an RF Transmitter. ICD Interface Headers and Processor Extension Paks are available to support development/debugging. PIC12F Microcontrollers Microchip PIC12F 8-bit PIC® Microcontrollers Microchips PIC12F Microcontrollers (MCUs) were the worlds first 8-Pin microcontrollers. Originally launched as One Time Programmable (OTP) parts, this range of devices continues to expand as Microchip adds extra features, further improves specifications and continues to offer ever greater value. Key to the success of the PIC12F was the internal RC oscillator that allowed six I/O channels in an 8-pin package. Later versions of this RC oscillator are configurable between 31kHz and 32MHz.
